Brief Description of Event:
Department of Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge conducted a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme on “Conservative Indirect Posterior Bonded Restorations” on 1st September 2023 in the college conference hall .
This academic event was scheduled for 5 hrs and 42 delegates participated in this programme. Programme was organised with the collaboration of Ivoclar – India company.
The programme began with the formal inaugural function at 11:00 am. The welcome note was delivered by Dr Swati Gupta (Professor & HOD) and a floral bouquet was presented to the speaker by Dr. Puneet Ahuja ( Principal BBDCODS ,Lucknow)

The first session of the programme was between 11:30 am to 1:00 pm . The speaker Dr. Harshwardhan Arya, delivered the lecture on ”Conservative Indirect Posterior Bonded Restorations” . He gave a detailed description on IPS E.max in restorative dentistry like minimally invasive onlays, table tops , esthetic veneers and implant crowns also gave practical knowledge on case selection , material science, shade selection and their restorative techniques. Additionally Dr. Arya also discussed the indication for Zirconia material and it’s application in restorations.
He also described his clinical cases with pictures and gave a brief discussion on each case.

The interesting and engaging lecture was very effective and Dr Arya facilitated interactive discussion during the lecture.
The Post lunch session was the Hands-on workshop from 2:00pm-4:00 pm. A demonstration was given by Dr. Harshawardhan Arya on the typhodont tooth about inlay, onlay, crownlay and table top preparation with proper techniques ,movement and uses of burs . The material and the equipment for demonstration for the Dr. Harshawardhan Arya was provided by Ivoclar – India company.

The post – graduate students performing and practicing the demonstrated preparation on their respective typhodont tooth .
The highly informative and engaging scientific programme ended with a vote of thanks which was proposed by Dr. Rehana Bano and the programme concluded with a certificate of appreciation and a memento to the guest speaker.
